2015 Winter Group Show


Mile High Sporting Dog Fanciers’ second winter show, February 12, 2015, drew 349 entries—a drop of only 13 dogs from last year despite being only days before the Westminster dog show. Held in conjunction with the four-day Rocky Mountain Cluster shows, the show enjoyed typical Denver weather, with temperatures in the high 60’s the first four days, and a foot of snow on Monday.

Judge James Fankhauser chose Labrador Retriever Ch. Everso’s Toein’ The Line JH as Group One. Owned by M. Mossman and S. Perrine, the dog was bred by Stefanie Perrine and Jay Acker.

Group second was German Shorthaired Pointer Firepoint Lucky in Love, a bitch owned by J. Jackson and J. Jackman. GCh Hh Lookout Celtic Field of Vision JH, a German Wirehaired Pointer bitch owned by J & M Boyd, J Witt & E Shupp was third, bred by Ed Shupp, Joyce Wilkinson and James and Helen Witt. The fourth place went to GCh Rainbow Splashs Ruggedly Handsome, a Brittany dog handled by Clint Livingston. Owned by C. Douglas, J & A Andras, K Hogen & A. Cone, the dog was bred by Kathy Hogan & Elud Archuletta-Cressler.

Gloria Kerr judged the Puppy Group, selecting a Golden Retriever, Starz Bugatti, owned and bred by Catherine Bourland, as first.

Best Owner Handler was Gordon Setter GCH CH MCQ Time to Crank It Up, bred by Richard and Mary Quaco and Craig and Jodi Fonda, and owned by Craig and Diana Cozier and Richard Quaco, judged by Suzanne Hemminger.

Miss Cassandra Noe judged juniors, selecting Open Senior Annika Dechert and her German Shorthair Pointer Ch Panamints Too Cool To Care as winner.
